Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

The Hile Group Job Safety Analysis process helps organizations identify, document, and teach the safest way to perform jobs.

Workshops and direct coaching prepare employees to break down the steps involved in performing the task, analyze the hazards associated with each step, and recommend actions that will eliminate or reduce the hazards. JSAs for standard tasks are also published and distributed as booklets to the frontline.

Engagement in the JSA process has helped organizations:

  • Reduce injuries and property loss.

  • Integrate safety into day-to-day operations.

  • Increase consistency of practice, triggering consistent job expectations and standards across work locations.

  • Gain agreement on standardized practices from all stakeholders: management, mid-level supervisors, and front-line workers.

  • Incorporate standardized work processes into training and coaching more effectively.
